Now that Hailey Bieber has announced her pregnancy, she can finally post about all the things pregnant people love to post about. She’s already done a cute photo dump of her chilling with her bump out, which means that next on the docket is discussing pregnancy cravings. Lock in your guess now for what you think Bieber might be craving, but know that there is no way you’re going to guess it.
It’s … a pickle topped with egg salad and drizzled with hot sauce! Pickles are so hot right now. Bieber shared a photo of her creation on her Instagram Story. In her caption Bieber wrote, “You’re not allowed to judge,” so I’ll hold my tongue about how her creation looks (kind of gross). That being said, I see the vision.
Bieber’s snack is certainly unwieldy — is the egg salad not falling off as soon as she takes a bite? — but I bet it tastes good. You’ve got the Samin Nosrat big four right there. Salt from the pickle, fat from the mayo, acid also from the pickle, and heat from the hot sauce. Sure, Nosrat is actually talking about the heat from the stove, but who cares? I love that there are lots of textures going on too, namely mushy (egg salad) and crunchy (pickle). Maybe this should be the basis of her next Erewhon smoothie?
